In the framework of its promotional
activity, the Institute for the Restoration of Dubrovnik

Informs the public on the course of the restoration
of Dubrovnik.
For this purpose, we edit and update our web pages on
a regular basis.
We provide information for representatives of domestic
and international media and for professionals that visit
the Institute.
We give lectures for special groups, participants of
seminars, conferences, tourist and special tours.

Collaborates with the UNESCO, the Organisation of World
Heritage Cities and other heritage organisations.
We participated in the preparation of the UNESCO's Action
Plan for the restoration of Dubrovnik after the war
of 1991-1992. The UNESCO's experts are involved in the
work of the Expert-Advisory Commission for the restoration
of Dubrovnik.
We have initiated the project of regular presentations
of the world heritage cities in Dubrovnik.

Presents the architectural heritage of Dubrovnik and
its restoration in Croatia and abroad through exhibitions,
talks, papers and videos.
The photo exhibition by Damir Fabijanic "Dubrovnik…",
illustrating the damage on the monuments and the restoration
results, as well as the smaller exhibition on the war
damage produced by the Institute were presented in many
centres of Europe and South America. The first film
on the post-war restoration of Dubrovnik by Tonko Jovic
was produced in 1995 in six languages: Croatian, English,
French, German, Italian and Spanish. The new film by
the same author was produced in 2001. For the time being,
it is available in Croatian and English, whereas the
other language versions are being prepared.
